Workshops

Gender Diversity and Healthcare - A discrimination-sensitive approach to healthcare by working with trans, inter, and non-binary people

A trusting relationship between healthcare providers and patients is essential for high-quality, needs-based medical care. However, patients who have had negative experiences within the healthcare system often lack this trust. This includes trans, inter, and non-binary (tin*) people, as well as others who do not fit into the traditional gender binary. In addition, their specific needs are often overlooked or insufficiently addressed, as healthcare professionals may not be aware of them due to differing social positions and lived experiences.
This workshop raises awareness of the perspectives, barriers, and needs of tin* people in healthcare settings. Through small group work and practical exercises, participants will develop concrete strategies for their own professional context together with other practitioners. The workshop also offers guidance on how practices, clinics, and healthcare settings can be designed to be more inclusive and welcoming for trans, inter, and non-binary people.
We aim to create a supportive and learning-oriented environment where mistakes are allowed, questions can be asked openly, and diverse forms of expertise can be brought together productively.

Duration:
2–8 hours

Target group:
Medical professionals, psychologists, healthcare workers, students/trainees, and other interested participants (content can be adapted to the target group)

Gender Diversity in Nursing - A discrimination-sensitive approach to care by working with trans, inter, and non-binary people

Since the introduction of the legal gender marker “diverse” and the option to remove gender registration, gender diversity has become more visible in society. Nevertheless, trans, inter, and non-binary (tin*) people still face significant barriers in accessing healthcare, which negatively impacts the quality of care.
Healthcare professionals often lack the knowledge and awareness needed to respond appropriately to the needs of tin* individuals.
This workshop aims to sensitize (future) nursing professionals, provide practical skills, and foster an appreciative and respectful approach to gender diversity. Participants will also be introduced to resources that support continued independent learning.
We place great importance on creating a respectful, inclusive, and supportive learning space where participants—regardless of prior knowledge—can engage with their own questions and concerns.

Duration:
3–8 hours

Target group:
Nursing professionals (in training or qualified; methods are adapted accordingly)

Training Programs for Daycare Centers, Schools, and Youth Services - Gender diversity in educational practice

Children and young people encounter a wide range of role models throughout their development—from early childhood to adolescence. Gender diversity is already part of everyday life: many young people explore their identities, question gender roles, and develop individual ways of being. When trans, non-binary, and inter children and young people are welcomed in educational settings, everyone benefits. These children can develop freely without fear, while others learn to take themselves and their own needs seriously—beyond societal expectations.
In this way, youth services contribute to strengthening self-esteem and supporting individual development processes.
In this workshop, participants will learn about different models of gender diversity. Using case studies and drawing on their own professional experience, they will develop practical strategies and approaches for their work.

Topics include:

  • Strengthening and empowering trans, inter, and non-binary (tin*) children and young people
  • Supporting interactions with parents and caregivers
  • Building awareness and competencies regarding gender diversity
  • Understanding the lived realities of tin* children and young people
  • Reflecting on one’s own professional stance and developing practical recommendations
  • Encouraging peer exchange and professional networking

Duration: 3–8 hours

Target group:
Educators in daycare centers, school social workers, youth service professionals, teachers of all school types

Sport for All? – Gender Diversity in (Organized) Sport

Sport is a social field in which gender plays a significant role. This can create challenges for those who do not conform to traditional gender norms, such as trans, inter, and non-binary (tin*) individuals.
Since the official recognition of diverse gender identities, the sports sector has increasingly had to engage with gender diversity. Public discourse remains ambivalent: while tin* athletes are often denied participation, there is also growing solidarity with queer individuals in sports—sending important positive signals to society. At the same time, embracing gender diversity in sports creates greater freedom for all participants to engage beyond restrictive gender norms.
In this workshop, we begin by clarifying key terms and exploring the everyday realities and political demands of tin* individuals. There will be ample space for participants’ questions. We will then focus on gender diversity in sports: together, we will reflect on existing barriers and explore ways to overcome them.
What specific needs do tin* individuals have in sports clubs? What are their experiences in organized sports? How can sports environments be designed to be inclusive and welcoming? And what does fairness in sport actually mean in this context?

Duration: approx. 4 hours

Target group: Sports clubs, sports associations, athletes, and sports administrators (content can be adapted to the target group)

Welcoming Gender Diversity
We support your journey toward becoming a diversity-responsive organization

Is gender diversity not yet part of the conversation in your organization? Are trans, intersex, and non-binary people already part of your team—or increasingly accessing your services? Do you feel you lack the knowledge, confidence, or strategic framework to position your organization in an inclusive and future-oriented way? Are you looking to initiate a sustainable awareness process and become a role model in your region?

We support organizations in their process of institutional development and inclusive transformation
. Our goal is to enable organizations to engage with gender diversity in an active, informed, and inclusive way—both internally and externally.

Gender diversity is an integral part of our society and is legally recognized. Organizations today are called upon to foster equal opportunities, reduce discrimination, and respond constructively to social change. This involves developing a diversity-oriented organizational culture and structure, while also ensuring competent and professional support for trans, intersex and non-binary people in practice.

Meaningful change does not happen overnight. Structured, professional guidance can make transformation processes clearer, more sustainable, and more effective.

Our consultancy combines organizational assessment tools (such as a diversity check), the development of tailored measures and strategies and continuous evaluation. The process is complemented by awareness training and professional development for teams and leadership, as well as expert consultation and practical implementation support.

Possible process framework:

  1. Initial consultation to clarify goals and scope
  2. Organizational and needs assessment / Diversity Check
  3. Training on gender diversity with individually selected focus areas
  4. Development of concrete measures and implementation plans
  5. Practice check-ins, feedback loops, and expert consultation
  6. Final evaluation and next-step planning
